Ex- TJC Apache agrees to five-year, $90 million contract with Bulls

This rumor may be true, Butler may really have the desire to play in Hollywood starting October, only that officially the soon-to-be restricted free agent can’t, as per SB Nation. Barea could both be interesting (and speedy) options for Chicago if they are willing to sign short-term veteran minimum deals.

FILE – In this February 8, 2015, FILE photo, Chicago Bulls guard Jimmy Butler (21) fights for the ball with Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon (00) and Magic guard Victor Oladipo (5) during the first half of an National Basteball Association basketball game, in Orlando, Fla. And sure enough, the 6-foot-7 product of Tomball, Texas, via Marquette had a breakout season: National Basteball Association All-Star, Most Improved Player award, a 20.0 scoring average, another All-Defense Second Team berth and a top-six ranking in win shares (11.2). There is a player option after the fourth year. Butler would earn a few security and money in the immediate future, and the Bulls would get another three years of Butler in his prime.

UPDATE: Mark Deeks reports Butler can not sign a one-year deal with a team other than the Bulls. “I could not leave at this point”.

“That’s a huge part of it”, he said.

“I love my teammates and the organization and the fans and living in Chicago”, Dunleavy said. My wife is happy. He was an 83 percent shooter from the line, and got to the charity stripe more than seven times per game. “And we did”.

Thibodeau is gone now, replaced by Fred Hoiberg. “I’m not sure players will look at it that way during the offseason”. He consistently stated his desire to return. He came into the league as an older player, so he’ll turn 26 before next season.

Should Butler sign an offer sheet with the Lakers, the Bulls would have three days to match the contract. While it would have been smart for Butler to take the max right away, he didn’t.

If Derrick Rose can stay healthy through the playoffs, the Bulls once again will be one of the favorites to represent the Eastern Conference in the National Basteball Association Finals. Last season, Dunleavy averaged 9.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. As reported by ESPN on Tuesday (June 30), this would lock up the All-Star small forward and keep him from testing free agency.
