A Pittsburgh-area woman who appeared with Bill Cosby on a 1980s children’s show has sued the embattled entertainer alleging he defamed her after she publicly accused him of sexual assaulting her as a teenager. During the deposition, he also admitted to obtaining Quaaludes to give to women he wanted to sleep with, but he maintained his innocence.

These moves came one day after Pennsylvania’s Lehigh University announced it had rescinded an honorary degree given to Cosby in 2005. “Therefore, on the recommendation of its Honorary Degree Committee, the Board voted to revoke his honorary degree, concluding that there is a substantial basis to discredit the accomplishments for which he was recognized 15 years ago”, school president Tony Monaco said in a statement.
Fordham University and Marquette University rescinded Cosby’s honorary degrees slightly earlier in the month, which he received in 2001 and 2013, respectively. Of those women, Dateline put the spotlight on many, including high profiled names attached to the case such as Beverly Johnson and the first woman to come forward, Barbara Bowman.
Cosby had spoken with Hill’s parents and assured them that he had her best interests at heart and further assured them he would be a mentor to Hill. “I remember leaning over the toilet bowl, throwing my guts up, and I remember wearing a man’s white t-shirt that was not mine”.
After a few such incidents, Hill objected to taking the drinks only to be told by Cosby, “If you don’t drink the drink, you can’t come” on the trips, the lawsuit said. “Had this information been known at the time, I am confident Goucher would not have awarded this honor”.
Cosby’s mentoring entailed flying Hill to various locations where he was performing – Atlantic City, New York City, and Denver. In the wake of the accusations, Cosby has suffered several career setbacks, and faces multiple lawsuits. Three other women have sued Cosby for defamation in courts in California and Massachusetts.
It seems that with each passing day there’s another piece of news about comedian Bill Cosby and his sexual assault allegations.
Cosby’s lawyers have said in court documents that any extramarital sex or use of Quaaludes, which Cosby referred to as “disco biscuits”, was consensual.

George Kontos, one of her attorneys, said they did not bring a claim for the alleged assault because the statue of limitations has expired.
