Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump wants the Secret Service to provide him with protection because he is attracting massive crowds during his campaign. “I have by far the biggest crowds”, Trump told The Hill.

“They’re in no rush because I’m a Republican”, he joked, the Hill reported.
“But it’s really up to them. I want to put them on notice because they should have a liability”.
“Of course I don’t think they’d want anything to happen. They don’t give a s-t”, the billionaire told The Hill Tuesday.
“But again, when you have 20,000 people, that’s a lot of people”, he said.
In response to Donald Trump’s statements a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said, “At this time, the Department of Homeland Security has not received an official request for protection”.

Obama’s Secret Service detail started on May 3, 2007, in what a few law enforcement officials said was an uncommonly early protection plan for a candidate, the Hill said.
A member of the Secret Service (L) watches over Democratic presidential candidate U.S. Sen. “You would think that they would want to be very proactive, but we have not heard from them”.
An ominous tweet, reportedly made by El Chapo’s son after his father escaped from prison, threatened to make Trump eat his words. That protection, which she still receives today, comes as a result of being a former First Lady.

The spokeswoman said in order for Trump to have the Secret Service at his side, it would require a consultation with an bipartisan advisory committee that includes House and Senate leadership. According to the Secret Service, criteria have been established to assist the DHS Secretary and the advisory committee in their decision making as of 2008.
