Patriots’ Tarell Brown: Missed practice for second day in a row
That’s because there’s a good chance Tarell Brown won’t be. He was the only player on the team not present.

Dont’a Hightower (ribs) participated in practice for the second straight day, though he is expected to be limited on today’s injury report. Melvin along with Malcolm Butler, Logan Ryan, and Justin Coleman are the only other cornerbacks on the roster, if Brown is a no-go for Sunday. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Brown is dealing with a “potentially serious foot injury”.
Brown suffered a season-ending foot injury a year ago and waited until training camp to sign with the Patriots because he wanted to give his time the time it needed to heal. He then sat out Week 3’s mathcup with the Jaguars.

Brown, serving as a slot corner, played in 45 of the 72 snaps Sunday in Dallas and has been New England’s most reliable choice early in the season to fill the void left by Kyle Arrington. Brown hasn’t practiced at all this week and appears extremely doubtful for Week 6 against the Colts. This week, he was listed as limited on Wednesday in practice before missing the last two days.
