Kathleen Kennedy promises there will be a female ‘Star Wars’ director eventually

U.S. theater chains reportedly have to have all the ticketing information for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in their systems by October 16 for release to ticketing websites at noon. She said, “I want to make sure we put someone in that position who’s set up for success”.

There does not appear to be a concerted effort on Disney’s part to get the Star Wars films on Netflix in other markets (like the USA, Canada or the U.K.), primarily because Star Wars awareness is already high, and the studio is focused more on iTunes sales, where each digital copy of the film goes for $20. Roughly translated, the graphic states that the pre-order for tickets begins on Monday and fans should run, “before the Stormtroopers end up with all the tickets”. After the trailer arrives online, it will debut during ESPN Monday Night Football for its on-air reveal, which is fitting considering ESPN and Lucasfilm are both owned by parent company Disney.

Finally, shortly after the release of the new trailer, tickets will go on sale around 8:30pm Eastern. Tickets for those showings will start at $50 dollars.

So now is the time to figure out how and when you want to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens for the first time. “I think it’s making a huge difference in the kind of stories we’re trying to tell”. He also says that the entire MNF broadcast will have Star Wars-themed graphics and that the introduction to the game will have the same sort of opening crawl which has opened all of the previous Star Wars films.

The Force Awakens is the seventh chapter in the iconic series. However, its biggest downfall is the insipid romance between Anakin (Hayden Christensen) and Padmé, featuring dialogue so bad that not even Oscar victor Natalie Portman can salvage it.

Much as Marvel is looking to diversify its superhero lineup — whether or not due to audience pressure — the Star Wars universe is doing the same.
