Daniel Craig was “just being sarcastic” when he said he wanted to move on from playing James Bond, according to his co-star Naomie Harris. “That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment”.

“Even if [it happens] when I’m in my 70s, standing in the background and giving James Bond directions”, he told ET.

Following Pompeo’s comments, her fans on Twitter indicated to her that the “Spectre” star had not actually considered suicide, and that rather the media may have taken the actors comments out of context, when he was actually joking. It’s been blown completely out of proportion.

“Daniel lives and breathes Bond”, said the actress, who reprises her role as Moneypenny to Craig’s 007 in “Spectre”, due for release November. 6.

Naomie Harris added: “He injured himself on the movie and came straight back after the operation and worked despite being in pain”. As an individual I think he was a bit tricky to work with back then.

Lazenby, Moore and Connery recreate different variations of a classic Bond pose – arms folded and pistol held aloft, whilst Craig, Brosnan and Dalton are shown in more relaxed poses. “The right person for the job should do the job and I don’t give a f**k what colour his skin is”, Craig famously said in an interview, recently. Casino Royale pointed out to its male audience that sorry, but they probably couldn’t be Bond at all: just look at him, for goodness sake. All I care about is that if I stop doing these things, we’ve left it in a good place and people pick it up and make it better.
