Phase two is called Proving Ground. This is particularly important to figure out as NASA and other agencies gear up for a manned mission to Mars.
The study results could also show whether astronauts return to “normal” post-flight because the brain changes back, or if the brain instead learns to compensate for the changes that happened in space. He goes on to criticise the administration’s continued withdrawal of funding for the Orion and SLS programmes every year and said that it was a roadblock to achieving the goals most Americans want to, in space.
