Kanye West left Jennifer Lopez struggling to regain her composure after surprising her and her fellow judges by auditioning for American Idol.
According to the Rolling Stones, host Ryan Seacrest later posted in Instagram “a celebratory photo of the rapper revealing his coveted Golden Ticket to the competition’s Hollywood Week”.
West was accompanied by wife Kim Kardashian for the surprise happening.
This was a particularly wild weekend for ‘Ye, who (despite his Carson dap) performed an hour-long set of hits and recently released music at a Democratic National Convention fundraiser in San Francisco on Saturday.
“SURPRISE!” Kim, wrote on Instagram. His wife, Kim Kardashian West, shared a picture of the performance.
Ryan Seacrest, who has a full plate in addition to American Idol hosting responsibilities, is still looking for his next hit show.
Based on how judges Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick, Jr. responded, the audition seems like it was a genuine, off-the-cuff Kanye stunt.
So its no wonder that Kanye West decided the time was right for him to appear in front of the “Idol” judges, after all, it really is now or never. He said at San Francisco’s historic Warfield Theater: “You’ve got to deal with unusual characters who behave as if they are on a reality TV show”. “So you’ve got to be cool with that”, the President joked.

If all that wasnt enough, Kanye and Kim gifted the current President and Michelle Obama two pairs of Yeezy Boost sneakers so they can all be matching. Earlier in the day, West went to President Barack Obama’s fundraising event where the USA president even gave West a few useful tips on his supposed run for the highest position in the country in 2020.
