Gary Kristen may be the coach for Team India for a second stint.

After that he coached South African national side (quit in July 2013) and was also in-charge of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Daredevils (2014 and 2015 editions).

It is is said that the BCCI has contacted Gary for the role of the head coach.

“There have been one or two phone calls but I was not in a position to make those decision”, Kirsten, told the newspaper.

He continued. “I’ve always said that he is one of the greatest players to have ever played”. “I think South Africa has got a great team. I never say yes or never say no, it’s hard”. Cricket, Family and Beyond, said it is unfair to run down a player of Dhoni’s stature and the charismatic batsman hasn’t lost his Midas Touch. So what works for one will not necessarily work for someone else. He is one of the greatest players India have ever had. So it is not a surprise for me that they are playing well. Most of the players are playing in the IPL. Top BCCI members and officials refused to discuss the possibility of the tour taking place but it is understood that they are preparing a plan should there be a last minute goahead from the government, particularly after Nawaz Sharif’s visit to the United States. “They are a great team with a few exciting young talent coming through”, Kirsten says.

The arch-rivals have not played a Test match since Pakistan toured India in 2007. “They have got experience in the batting”, he explained predicting that the Proteas could end up winning the Test series. They know how to play away from home.
