“The closed beta will be composed of a small number of testers who will have regular access to our public beta test”, Blizzard said in a blog post.

Blizzard will also be conducting numerous Beta Test Weekends for a second, wider group of players. Details about the beta will be emailed to you if you’ve been accepted on either the Closed Beta testing or weekend testing.
Download the Gadgets 360 app for Android and iOS to stay up to date with the latest tech news, product reviews, and exclusive deals on the popular mobiles.
The beta phase for Overwatch has two main purposes.
Only on weekends will Blizzard “open the floodgates” and let more people in to stress test the game’s servers and overall performance.
The weekend beta test on the other hand will have room for plenty of testers to try out. You can register for the beta on the Play Overwatch website. There should be more news about Overwatch at the Conference, which takes place in Anaheim, California. According to Jeff Kaplan, the game’s director, these features are part of Blizzard’s plan of turning “Overwatch” into an eSport type of game. For decades, the company has relied on its Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo franchises. If you’re unsure about an email, you can just log into your Battle.net account to make sure if your account was flagged for beta access. In a time of global crisis, an worldwide task force of soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities known as Overwatch had come together to restore peace to a war-torn world.

For a start, the beta is USA only for the time being. Overwatch was announced at last year’s BlizzCon event and hasn’t really been seen since then. A full release date has yet to be announced. We also don’t know how much Overwatch will cost PC gamers when it does arrive on store shelves.
