Kate Hudson Opens Up About Matt Bellamy Breakup

Kate Hudson says she and Matt Bellamy split up and ended their engagement because they didn’t have “a great relationship”.

“Relationships ending are painful, and you can choose to carry that or you can choose to reframe it”, the Rock the Kasbah actress told Allure magazine for their November issue.

Kate has 11-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband Chris Robinson and Bingham, four, with Matt, and although Matt and Kate are no longer romantically involved, they have remained on good terms for the sake of their family unit. Though it’s been said this pair is simply enjoying a Tinseltown fling, we have a feeling things may be heating up for the rumored couple.

“[Bellamy and I] said, ‘We need to try to create something for the kids where they feel like they’re gaining something rather than losing something”, Hudson explained about her most recent split.

Hudson, daughter of Goldie Hawn also said that the transition has been seamless.

So far, they seem to have done an excellent job: Matt grew very close to Kate’s son from her previous relationship during their time together, and he still co-parents with her. As she puts it “everybody’s cool”. “It’s a unusual place where a little thing can turn into a lot, but it’s about how much of that you kind of want in your world and just living your life and knowing that people will have their opinion”. “Everybody’s cool; everybody’s good”, she added.

The rumors have been flying for a bit that Nick Jonas has found love with Kate Hudson.

“I’m 23, single and loving life”, Jonas tells ET Canada in a new interview.

Still, we can’t help but wonder about the “vision” for her future that Kate was referencing.

Is it weird we want these two to live past industry standards – despite their age difference?! “It’s an active process”.
