Bernie Sanders Disco Dances on ‘Ellen’
Surging 2016 Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders danced his way through his appearance on Thursday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, taking the stage with a memorable boogie that drove the in-studio crowd wild. Last month, Hillary Rodham Clinton appeared on the show and spiced up a commercial break by performing the popular dance move to Silento’s “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)”.

DeGeneres also gave him a present – a mobile fold-out lectern in a briefcase. That’s fantastic”, DeGeneres told Sanders, who replied, “And thank you for the very positive energy you provide to the American people.
With well-known song “Disco Inferno” playing in the background, the 74-year-old Democratic presidential candidate was filmed clapping and bopping backstage while waiting for his interview, set to air on Thursday night. She pointed to his interjection during the Democratic debate Tuesday in which he shouted to Hillary Clinton, “The American people are sick and exhausted of hearing about your damn emails”. “You asserted this may not be political”, DeGeneres stated.
An appearance on Ms. DeGeneres’ daytime talk show and making an appeal to her mostly young, female audience has become a right of passage for Democratic presidential contenders. And your grandchildren. But you have in corporate America today you have incredible greed.
Sanders also admitted to having been in handcuffs. For each question he answered “honestly” or “correctly” – with DeGeneres as the judge – the show offered to donate $1,000 for breast cancer research.
– If he was a flavor of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream (based in Burlington, Vt., where Sanders is from), what would he be called?
