Texas A&M star and current Browns QB Johnny Manziel was stopped by authorities Monday after an argument with his girlfriend escalated.

There was an argument between Manziel and his girlfriend, Colleen Elizabeth Crowley, and the police were called after Manziel’s auto used the shoulder of the road to pass a witness at high speed, according to the report. The report said the couple argued and Crowley threw Manziel’s wallet out the window, and that’s why he pulled over. Manziel admitted to police that he had consumed alcohol before the dispute. Ultimately, Johnny and Colleen left the scene together without being charged or cited for anything.

He addressed the incident on Twitter on Friday night. However she did not want to press charges.

Manziel got a chance to start in Week 2 because of an injury to starter Josh McCown, and led the Browns to a win. Cops also spotted an abrasion on her arm, which was determined to be a mark from Manziel attempting to keep her in the auto.

The nature of Manziel’s time at Caron Pennsylvania drug and alcohol rehab treatment center was never explicitly stated.

Manziel is expected to be active for the game Sunday.

“J & I are good”, she said.

The police report said the couple was not intoxicated to the point where they could be charged.

The facts, as presented in the police report, of what happened Monday are concerning.

Manziel, a former Heisman Trophy victor who is in his second season with the Browns, spent the early part of this year in rehabilitation. As they entered Avon, where Manziel lives, the driver noticed the vehicle “cut over several lanes of (traffic) and begin to exit” the highway. This image reflects the Cleveland Browns active roster as of Tuesday, June 9, 2015 when this image was taken. If the team agreed with Manziel that everything is fine, there probably would have been a team statement more than 72 hours earlier indicating that everything was fine.
