Gaming News: Fallout Shelter for Android ‘should be out’ next month

There is still no hard date, but thanks to a tweet from one of Bethesda‘s employees it looks like the team is shooting for an August launch, as Bethesda’s Pete Hines mentions that “the Android version is coming along nice, and should be out next month”.

Everyone on Android has been feeling really left out and keeps asking when they will be able to join in the Fallout Shelter fun. “We’ll let you know when we have specifics”, he said in response to a fan question on Twitter (via Destructoid). Still, fans should expect the game to hit the Google Play Store some time soon, possibly within the next month or two at the latest.

The company has been protective of “Fallout Shelter“, even going so far as to purposely delay its announcement until after a proper “Fallout 4” revelation to avoid a situation where the mobile game may receive negative publicity.

Tell us, have you been pouring hours into Bethesda’s Fallout Shelter?

As for the Android release, if Hines proves to be correct in slating Fallout Shelter for an August launch date, it’ll arrive much sooner than expected. You’ll need to oversee your Vault Dweller community, protect them from the dangers of the Wasteland and work out how to create a thriving Vault habitat. Fallout Shelter is already the third-biggest revenue-making game in the App Store, just behind Clash of Clans and Game of War.
