MJ Stewart, Mike Hughes suspended indefinitely
North Carolina announced indefinite suspensions for two key members of its secondary on Thursday night, apparently a result of an altercation in Chapel Hill earlier this month. He was one of four players suspended for the 2014 season-opening game against South Carolina.

And neither Hughes nor Stewart were listed on Thursday night in the state’s online criminal court database of pending court cases.
North Carolina sophomore cornerback M.J. Stewart and freshman cornerback Mike Hughes have been suspended indefinitely from football team-related activities for a violation of team rules related to an incident that occurred Sunday, October 4, in Chapel Hill. “We hold our players to a high standard and M.J. and Mike will face the consequences for their involvement”, said Fedora in a statement.
With both of them out of the picture for the Wake Forest game, at the very least, the cornerback burden will largely be placed on juniors Desmond Lawrence and Brian Walker. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Stewart is the bigger loss here.
