Second seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland easily won her semi-final match at the Tianjin Open on Saturday, setting up a final that will pit her against unseeded Danka Kovinic of Montengero.

Sunday’s match against Kovinic will be her third final of the season, after Tokyo and Eastbourne, and the 23rd of her career.

Radwanska made a single break count in the opening set, but it was not easy.

There are just nine places between Radwanska and third seed Pliskova in the world rankings, but the 2012 Wimbledon runner-up was a cut above as she broke four times and did not lose a game on serve. After a first set very tight, won by the Montenegrin, Jovanovski was able, in the second set, to bring the match in balance thanks to a great tie-break.

Kovinic beat Bojana Jovanovski of Serbia 6-2 6-7 6-2 in more than two hours of play.

Radwanska, the world number six, will be assured of a place at the WTA Finals if she can take the title.
