All the full specifications are over at Apple’s productivity suite landing page, but here are ten of the best improvements for this long-running, venerable suite of word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet apps from our favorite Cupertino-based company.

As reported by the 9to5Mac, Apple has added at least 8 to 9 new features in the iWork for iCloud apps, like version history for quick revision of documents – document compatibility with older iWork apps, preview of documents on mobile web browsers, word count for pages document – and so much more. The content created using the Pages, Numbers and Keynote applications can also be shared more smoothly with others who use Microsoft Office, according to Apple. Applications don’t need to be explicitly updated to support the new feature, but developers can update apps to make better use of the varying amounts of screen space.

Speaking of iCloud, Michael Cohen (author of Take Control of Pages) was excited to find that Pages for iCloud now lets you view tracked changes in a document that has change tracking turned on.

The updates didn’t come quite as quickly as expected, but now that they’re here they include welcome improvements to go along with iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan support.

There are also new Force Touch gestures in each of the apps, which work with the new Force Touch Magic Trackpad and the trackpad in the Retina MacBook Pro and the 12-inch MacBook.

Handoff – For the first time, you can now use Handoff to seamlessly switch between iPad, Mac, and iPhone when working on a Pages, Numbers or Keynote document.
