Three more universities have announced their decision to revoke honorary degrees previously bestowed to Bill Cosby.

Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, said it withdrew an honorary doctorate of arts it conferred on Cosby in 2000, along with an award given in 2011 for excellence in children’s media.
Goucher President Jose Bowen wrote to the campus Thursday that the board voted unanimously Wednesday night to to rescind the degree the college had awarded Cosby in 2001, The Baltimore Sun reported.
Both schools said they had notified Cosby of their actions. But in court documents released in July, he admitted to having several extra-marital affairs, with a few of those affairs including names of women who have accused him of sexual assault.
Universities’ leaders cited violation of campus policies and expectations as reasons to rescind Cosby’s degree.
The board of trustees at Tufts University has issued a statement, in which it claimed there was “substantial basis” to take credit away from the accomplishments for which Cosby was recognized and awarded his accolades to begin with. His lawyers have repeatedly denied any wrongdoing by the comedian and he has never been criminally charged over the allegations made his dozens of accusers.
She said she hoped the defamation lawsuit would be “one more step towards seeking justice for what happened to me”.

President of Tufts University Anthony Monaco has also said in an email sent to students, alumni and professors that Cosby has shown “a lack of character and integrity”, in direct contradiction with the school’s values. The school explained that the conduct within was antithetical to its values.
