Facebook bug accidentally shows how many people viewed your post
A Facebook bug was recently reported by a number of users on social media indicating that you can see how many people see your posts and other people’s posts on Facebook.

These kinds of statistics are usually only available to page owners – individual users should not be able to see any kind of statistic beyond the number of likes and shares on their posts.
However, the bug appears to be noticed only by users using the mobile site and not on the desktop version or the mobile apps, according to The Independent.
The view counts are shown only under links shared or posted by users, and sometimes also underneath posted images. This information is not something that Facebook is planning to let users know. However, the bug had a few anxious that a view count could become a new feature for users, many calling it “creepy”. It is not clear if the numbers are entirely true though, with The Verge providing an example of a Doritos-related article gaining nearly 4 million views compared to a post by Facebook on global Internet access gaining only 75,000 views.

Other social networks including Twitter, Vine and YouTube already show view counts, and Twitter even has a detailed analytics feature that shows what people did after viewing your post. “Clicking this opens a pop-up window that shows Impressions, or the number of times people on Twitter saw the tweet, “Total engagements”, which represents the number of people who interacted with the tweet, and “Link clicks”.
