The media giant even made sure to say publicly that Trump would never again host the popular reality TV show The Apprentice.
“I think it’s going to be good for them (NBC), it’s going to be fine for me, and you know it’s really very much of an honour when you can do a 60 Minutes or a Saturday Night Live”.
Last month, CNN drew 22.9 million viewers, making it the most watched programme in the cable news network’s 35-year-old history, while the Fox News-hosted GOP debate in August drew a record 24 million viewers.
Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30pm on NBC.
Murguía also noted the dramatic reversal in NBC’s position on Trump, given that the company severed ties with him over his xenophobic and racist statements when he announced his political candidacy.
His first SNL gig was way back in 2004.
During his ’04 monologue, Trump poked fun at his larger-than-life persona, by boasting about being “a ratings machine”.
Live from New York, it’s Donald Trump!
This bad blood, coupled with Trump’s Presidential hubris and the fact that most of the cast probably hate his fucking guts, should make for a memorable clusterfuck of an episode. Check out the Donald Trump to host SNL details below!
“Donald Trump? Isn’t he the one that’s like ‘Ugh, you’re all losers, ‘” Clinton said while playing Val. Seth Meyers, who played a dancing chicken in the House of Wings sketch, famously tore into Trump at the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner over his repeated claims that President Obama might’ve been born in Kenya. Otherwise, no politician in his or her right mind would come on “SNL” again.
Clinton also appeared in a sketch with Amy Poehler during her 2008 campaign.

Trump and Meyers play a father and son duo that can’t stop bickering, despite hosting a show that focuses on the cherished relationship between dads and their sons.
