Through five weeks, the Cleveland Browns have a 2-3 record. “Not only do they sack the quarterback, they’re hitting him, too, and that has an effect over time”.

Andy Dalton on Sunday led the Bengals from a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit to a 27-24 overtime victory over the Seattle Seahawks, keeping Cincinnati undefeated with the second-biggest comeback in their history.

He was sacked twice by the Ravens and knocked down three more times, but in the end, after Travis Coons kicked a dramatic 32-yard field goal in overtime for a confidence-building 33-30 victory, McCown, limped to the locker room on a sore ankle as the man who might have saved the Browns season.

Seeing both of them contribute to the Browns like they have in the past for other teams would be great.

The Cardinals were 3-6, going back to a quarterback that had played poorly, looking like his best days were long behind him and now they had to go on the road to face the Washington Redskins on the road The Redskins were 7-2 and just had their seven-game winning streak snapped by the Jim Kelly-led Bills in Orchard Park. The Browns would go for two again and McCown did not disappoint this time as he found Andrew Hawkins for the two point conversion reception.

The Ravens only managed 30 yards on the ground in the first half, though Flacco scored his first rushing touchdown on a missed assignment by the Browns defense. Meeting them at FirstEnergy Stadium this Sunday will be a Denver Broncos team boasting what a few believe is a deceiving 5-0 record. Those facts were reinforced when Ravens running back Javorius Allen broke loose for a 44-yard run off the left side. He also ran for two touchdowns on two QB sneaks. That set up a 10-yard touchdown run by McCown to get Cleveland to 21-16.

The unbelievable catch gave Cleveland a 18-yard touchdown and a 22-21 fourth quarter lead.

Pettine acknowledged, however, that they must always keep tabs on McCown because of his reckless style of play and never-say-die attitude. Eight different players caught a pass and nobody exceeded 4 catches or 80 yards. Freeman had 27 carries for 153 yards and the touchdown. Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed Monday that Davis tore his ACL and is lost for the year. That left Justin Tucker to kick a 23-yard field goal with 25 seconds to go in regulation.

McCown knew for days that the Browns could take advantage of a porous Baltimore defensive backfield.

McManus is second in the National Football League with 12 of 12 field goals and has converted four of four over 50 yards.

This game could’ve taken a turn for the worst, in a way only Cleveland fans would understand. This left inexperienced people playing and people playing out of position, which led to the Ravens defeat. Ravens defensive end Lawrence Guy rolled into McCown’s leg as Guy and right guard John Greco fell. “Not that Johnny’s not a good option, but we see that Josh gives us so much flexibility”. Baltimore had all the momentum with less than a minute gone in the second quarter leading 14-3. On first-and-goal, Juszczyk caught a pass from Flacco in the right flat and beat cornerback Tramon Williams and Kruger in a race to the front right corner of the end zone.

Rookie Nate Orchard and Armonty Bryant have seen increased play of late at outside linebacker.

Another week and another pathetic display for the Ravens secondary. It’s one thing to lose to Cleveland in Cleveland and another to lose to the Browns in Baltimore. You can’t lose to the Browns and Raiders, two teams who have been in the bottom-half of the league in most offensive categories for the past decade.
