Watch DNCE’s Music Video ‘Cake By the Ocean’
He’s most famous as the lead singer of the family act the Jonas Brothers, but Joe Jonas is branching out with his new group DNCE (pronounced D-N-C-E, not “dance”).

Joe Jonas’ funky new band DNCE have been teasing their “Cake By The Ocean” video all week, but now the dessert- and water-themed video is here to view in all its gross-out glory.
The group debuted the visual promo for their single Cake By the Ocean exclusively through Entertainment Weekly on Friday 16 October (15). She was a bada*s.
Even though Gigi doesn’t appear in the video, we get a few prime close-ups of Joe serenading the camera and there’s a cameo from controversial internet “star” The Fat Jewish. “It came together really quickly and were really excited about it because it’s just something that I think is wacky and fun”.
In the midst of all this, Jonas and his band mates-JinJoo Lee, Cole Whittle and Jack Lawless-sing along on a stage, jumping around and laughing as the competition ensues.
“In the first draft of the treatment, it was like a wedding cake, and we were like, ‘No”.
In the video, The Fat Jew shows up candidly and starts having a cake fight with a bunch of Guess bikini models with their Bumble towels.

The whole concept centres around DNCE’s global Cake Fight Championship, a fictional event. “Everyone had cake and had fun”.
