Eddie Vedder jams out with Cubs
The Pearl Jam rocker was welcomed with open arms Monday to game 3 – where he was shown sitting next to Cubs president Theo Epstein, who had Vedder perform at his benefit concert in July – and Tuesday at game 4.

Vedder wrote the song about the Cubs’ next World Series victory. You may be one of them. And he was sure to join the team in celebrating after the game. Perhaps he’ll ditch his job as a dad rock star and become the Cubs ball boy.
In an interview before Game 3 with Jim Hayes of Fox Sports Midwest (they cover the Cardinals), Vedder said he won’t be able to attend if the Cubs make it. The Cubs have a long list of celebrity fans: Actors Vince Vaughn, Nick Offerman, Jeff Garlin, Gary Sinise, Jake Johnson and Ike Barinholtz, NASCAR driver Danica Patrick and rockers Pete Wentz and Tom Morello.
When the Cubs beat Pittsburgh in the wild card game last week, Vedder, who was born in Chicago, partied with the team in the locker room.
Vedder told the station he knew the young Cubs were headed toward a stretch of prolonged contention, but like many fans, he thought it would start in 2016 or beyond.

“But I hope we go to the World Series, and I hope I miss the games”. Vedder also mentioned that the band is touring during the World Series, and joked that from now on, they won’t be scheduling any October shows to avoid any conflicts with the World Series. All I’m saying is that, the next few years, we’re not going to play in October.
