The Bears Have Poached Bruce Gaston
The Bears selected Ferguson in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. The 6-2, 315-pounder was listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game in Detroit with a knee injury after sitting out practice Thursday and Friday. Gaston made Green Bay’s roster out of training camp but was released earlier this month to make room for wide receiver Jared Abbrederis and re-signed to the practice squad.

The Chicago Bears placed defensive end Ego Ferguson on season-ending injured reserve Saturday and signed defensive lineman Bruce Gaston. Gaston is a Chicago native, who played his high school football at my old rival St. Rita and college ball at Purdue.
Gaston went undrafted and opted to sign with Cardinals as a rookie free agent. He appeared in all 16 games last season as a reserve and was credited with 27 tackles and two sacks. He has played in two games this season for the Packers, collecting 1 tackle. Gaston showed good lateral quickness at either position and the ability to shed blocks and hold his ground against double teams.
