When asked to comment on the same, Deepika Padukone told reporters: “I think when you are working in a film like “Bajirao Mastani”, there’s no real time or head space to get even involved in something like that”. It was initially conceptualised with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan, then with Aishwarya and Shah Rukh Khan, so on and so forth. The film that traces the journey of Peshwa Bajirao who falls in love with the lovely Mastani, is inspired by real life historic events. The launch starts with Deepika turning showstopper for designer Anju Modi at the Blenders Pride Fashion week, which is a special Bajirao Mastani themed fashion show. In this picture, Deepika Padukone looks stunning in her shimmery golden attire and also has a mandolin in her hand.
