The event, which was presented by amusing Or Die and livestreamed on the app go90, benefited the Alzheimer’s Association.

About 20 years late, James Franco finally celebrated his bar mitzvah and became a full-fledged Jewish man on Saturday evening. Franco is Jewish and held a bar mitzvah to raise money for those suffering with Alzheimer’s disease. Joan’s on Third delicatessen catered the event, and guests were reportedly offered temporary tattoos of Franco’s face. Seth Rogen and Maria Shriver were also in attendance, according to People.
And nothing says “show” like Miley Cyrus. She also carried around a giant, lit-up Star of David.
This is only my second ever bar mitzvah. “Tonight has been fucking eventful”, Cyrus said to the audience.
Kicking off at 4am in the United Kingdom, the combination of Franco, Rogen and Cyrus – plus the fact it was for a very good cause – definitely made it one worth getting out of bed for.

“This is so much better than when they played “Barbie Girl” at my bar mitzvah”, Rogen joked, explaining he’d spent his own celebration “trying to get a hand job as “Cotton-Eyed Joe” played”. Past shows featured the talents of Paul Rudd, Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari, Sarah Silverman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, among others, and the 2014 prom night-themed event raised $1 million.
