California teacher’s aide stops alleged kidnapping attempt

On Friday, a Sutter Elementary School employee was on her way to work when she noticed a student, an 11-year-old girl, with a man in the front seat of a vehicle, according to the Antioch Police Department. She was driving to work at the school when she suddenly spotted something that shook her to her core. The girl, who has not been identified, was not injured.
“I put my auto in front of his and blocked him in”, Ferguson added.
Ferguson told KGO-TV the 11-year-old had looked scared and she sensed something was wrong.
Ferguson dialed 911 while the alleged kidnapper’s auto was still blocked by hers.
The employee used her own vehicle to block in the male suspect and immediately called the police.
Ferguson called 911. Officers arrived and arrested Salazar, who was charged with kidnapping, ABC News reports. The victim walked over Salazar’s vehicle and he opened the passenger door from inside.
School officials commended Ferguson’s bravery after the incident.
“Thankfully, she was a guardian angel at that point in preventing something from happening”, Harrington said. As Ferguson, she can’t quite believe what she did that Friday morning.
