Freeze Warning in Effect for Warren

The first snowflakes of the season have been spotted, and the cool temperatures have prompted a Freeze Warning for parts of the area. A possible shower is expected throughout the day today.

KDKA Meteorologist Kristin Emery says temperatures will stay well below normal today with a high of just 48 degrees and a chance of showers.

Sunday night will bring the coldest temperatures we’ve had so far this fall.

For those regions that did NOT get a freeze overnight, there is an additional Freeze Warning for tonight (Sunday night) into Monday morning. The warning includes Ocean County and western Monmouth County.

“Monday afternoon, highs will only climb into the mid-50s under mostly sunny skies”, he said. Temperatures will be back around freezing Monday morning followed by highs in the low 60s. We certainly had a freeze for many locations outside of Providence, especially those locations like Smithfield with lows in the 20s.
