David Lynch memoir-bio coming in 2017
After decades as one of cinema’s most creative, unique and mysterious filmmakers, David Lynch will finally give his audience a glimpse into his own life with a quasi-memoir titled Life & Work. Lynch writes the memoir sections, diving into his relationships and artistic endeavors. The book will combine Lynch’s reflections with material from McKenna based on dozens of interviews Lynch’s friends, family and colleagues.

Francis Bickmore, publishing director at Canongate, pre-empted United Kingdom and commonwealth rights from Caspian Dennis at Abner Stein on behalf of primary agent Chris Parris-Lamb at The Gernert Company. Meanwhile, David Lynch recently confirmed that he has returned to work on the upcoming Twin Peaks revival series, after he initially dropped out of the project due to financial budgets. He’ll be working with journalist Kristine McKenna to accomplish this, and in true David Lynch fashion, the book won’t be a straightforward autobiography.
