Kyle Busch involved in multi-car crash in Daytona return
NASCARs roots are in the deep South and the series hosts 18 Sprint Cup races in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Kyle Busch’s time at Daytona in 2015 has been far from positive.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) – Steven Rebenstorf has numerous flags flying atop his canopy tent inside Daytona global Speedway.
“I think that we all need to just take a step and really pour every effort into everywhere around the race tracks”, Busch said at Daytona global Speedway. The grass did little to slow down Busch’s auto, which slammed into a concrete retaining wall.
The wreck was precipitated by Ford-driving Brad Keselowski, who touched the back bumper of Kyle Busch, who spun.
“Just looks like the #2 got into my left rear and he got away unscathed and trashed everybody else’s stuff”, simmered Busch.
“Everybody has got a shot at Daytona”, said Stewart, according to Fox Sports.
Those two cars then spun into Martin Truex, and the scrum was hit by Denny Hamlin.
Busch, who returned to racing May 24 at Charlotte and won Sunday at Sonoma Raceway, is trying to finish among the top 30 in Sprint Cup races in order to qualify for the season-ending Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. “There’s room to lift (off the throttle) and sometimes people don’t”, Busch said.
Or no one wants to help him.
“Everybody was kind of dancing around”, Busch said.
“This track has been very special to me, we know how important is to the sport”, Gordon said. “It’s his fault and he caused it, but I’ve also probably been in the same boat and caused them before”. The ceremony was held at Doral a year ago.
Meanwhile, Chitwood made Daytona the first track to distance itself from the Confederate flag in advance of its weekend of racing.
There were a handful of Confederate flags flying in the infield Friday, the opening day of practice at Daytona.
The starting order from the race will be set due to the speeds of first practice with Dale Earnhardt Jr. leading the field to the green on Sunday night. “I think that needs to be one of the next biggest pushes that we can all have”.
“The challenge for us was canceling track days and other rentals and things on property so we could construct on property. So we’ve actual put them on both nights, Saturday and Sunday for us”, said Speedway President Joie Chitwood.
“I haven’t paid any attention”, Petty said.

What will be even more interesting is to see how he overcomes adversity at Daytona. I’ve been on my lid like that a few times. “I am so proud to get Ryan his first win first off. That is a huge accomplishment and to do it here, I am extremely happy for him”. NASCAR and the speedway offered to replace any flag a race brings to the track with an American flag.
