United States troops will stay in Afghanistan
The decision to abandon the withdrawal of almost all US troops from Afghanistan might most likely have something to do with the situation in Syria and Russian President Vladimir Putin clinging onto the influence over the Middle East.

Entering his final year in office, Mr. Obama had a choice to either stick to his promise and bring home nearly all American troops from Afghanistan next year or still leave a significant amount of US troops to strengthen USA geopolitical image and prevent Afghanistan’s military forces from collapsing under the growing Taliban pressure.
“We condemn in the strongest possible terms violence directed against innocent people – and believe that Israel has a right to maintain basic law and order and protect its citizens from knife attacks”, Obama said during a news conference at the White House. Clinton was USA secretary of state at the time.
During a Friday afternoon campaign appearance in Nashua, Clinton said Obama did not reach his decision “easily” and noted the partnership the U.S. has established with Afghan president Ashraf Ghani. Meanwhile only 14 percent of Americans believe the USA has won the 12-year-long war in Afghanistan, according to a YouGov poll released earlier this year.
Clinton has not talked extensively during her campaign about how she would pursue a peaceful transition from the war in Afghanistan.
It’s no doubt that she will win the vote of most women; she’s already become a monumental inspiration for women in politics, being the only first lady to be elected to the senate, and serving as a global diplomat with impressive loyalty to the man who defeated her in the last presidential race. Still, she said, she “never took it personally” that she had fallen behind Sanders here. Clinton suggested this week that she would come into office ready for a fight. Asked during the debate which enemy made during her political career she was most proud of, Clinton said: “Well, in addition to the NRA, the health insurance caompnies, the drug companies, the Iranians – probably the Republicans”.
