September was a busy month for Apple since a number of new devices were launched by the tech company. Apple has announced the new iPad Pro as one of the flagships of its tablet lineup. The upcoming iPad Air device is also believed to be only 5 millimeters thin, and will be dust and waterproof. However, since the newly announced hybrid is more for professional-level use, a few fans are wondering when the media- and entertainment-centric iPad Air 3 will be out.

According to previous rumors, a new iPad Air was originally slated to be released this year. However, with the solid information that a major competitor, Microsoft, is readying its Surface Pro 4 unveiling, the Cupertino-based company made a decision to shift its focus to the iPad Pro instead. Vine Report has also added that the release date for the iPad Air 3 has been pushed back so far as early 2016. Allegedly, the new iPad Air will debut in the first months of 2016, March at the latest.
The FCC’s final approval is mandatory for any new product launch and Apple is reportedly preparing to launch the recently unveiled 12.9-inch iPad Pro and Apple Pencil about two weeks from now. The iPad Air 3 will most likely be powered by an A9 or A9X chipset, and will either have a 2 GB or 4 GB RAM. The tablet works with the latest iOS 9 mobile operating system, this compact tablet also features the Split View multi-tasking, that has been a widely-lauded feature of the iPad Air 2 when it was tossed in October a year ago, Master Herald wrote.
However, there is no official confirmation from Apple yet regarding the release date and features of the said device.

The price of the new iPad Air is rumored to have a £399 starting price, and prices will vary depending on the storage amount. This 6.1 mm sleek tablet has a 7.9 inch display that comes with 2048×1536 pixels resolution, fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating and anti-reflective coating.
