Emmerdale to reveal who shot Robert Sugden in special rewind episode tonight

Other Emmerdale residents under suspicion for the attack included Robert’s estranged wife Chrissie, her father and Robert’s business partner Lawrence, and Chrissie’s son Lachlan, who had a real hatred for his stepfather following Robert’s affair with Aaron.

And what Parr hopes is that this latest twist gives Ross devotees the chance to see that he has a proper murderous streak.

“There was a point where I was thinking, “it doesn’t matter what I do, everyone just seems to be cheering for Ross”. Andy chose to get himself sectioned while Ross did the deed but now questions remain over whether Andy will keep up his end of the bargain.

Ross explained to Andy that he too wanted his brother Pete dead after he thought he had killed Ross and left him buried in the woods.

Now that viewers know, will the truth come out about who shot Robert?

Mike: “I’ve anxious about it before, and yes, soap has to have this moral justice and so the characters do have to have a comeuppance because we have to be aware of what the storylines say to our audience…”

“I was anxious, but with this, if Robert is getting away with killing Katie, hopefully I am getting away with shooting him!” Ross genuinely thinks that he’s killed someone, so what is that going to have done to his mental state?

Ryan: “As Kelvin said, it’s out of our control what happens to our characters, because if it’s what the producers want then ultimately, that’s what’s going to happen”.

Mike: “I’m expecting there to be lots of backlash, which I really love”.

“I tried telling the police but they let him go”.
