“It is being used to effectively monitor and regulate traffic situation during immersion of Durga Puja idols”, Muktesh Chander Special Commissioner(Traffic) Delhi Police said.

However, two teenage boys were electrocuted and six others suffered burn injuries when they came in contact with a live wire during the immersion of Goddess Durga at Barsan in Saharsa district. The origin of Durga Puja can be traced back to the 15th century.
