Woman, child killed in Gaza following Israeli airstrike
An Israeli airstrike on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip has killed a pregnant Palestinian mother and her toddler daughter, Gaza officials said.

On Sunday, a Palestinian female motorist detonated a bomb she was carrying after being pulled over by Israeli police in the occupied West Bank, wounding herself and an officer, police said, as cited by Reuters.
Violence has spread from Jerusalem and the Israeli-occupied West Bank to Israel’s interior and Hamas-ruled Gaza.
He made separate phone calls to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
The Jerusalem Post reports 332 Palestinians were wounded in clashes with security forces in Gaza and the West Bank on Sunday alone.
Israel said it targeted two Hamas weapon manufacturing facilities after Gaza militants fired two rockets and following attempts by Palestinians to violently cross the border.
Palestinians seek a state in the West Bank and Gaza with East Jerusalem, which includes the Old City, as their capital. It says the woman is a resident of east Jerusalem but lives part of the time in the West Bank.
Monday’s bloodshed followed the deployment of 2,000 police reinforcements in Jerusalem, but Israeli leaders have said they have no quick fix against largely “lone wolf” assaults.
The attack appears to mark the first use of explosives in the current round of violence following a series of stabbing and shooting attacks.
Israel has said it has no intention of doing so.
Israeli forces killed the boy on Sunday during clashes south of al-Bireh in the Ramallah district, medics said.
At least half of the victims were shot dead while during knife attacks against Israelis. As an emergency measure, the Israeli government passed a measure that would result in a four-year jail term for any Palestinians caught throwing petrol bombs or rocks.
The attack near the town of Hadera in northern Israel occurred in the evening.

“30-year-old Noor Hassan and her daughter Shahd died when their house collapsed following an Israeli air strike on a Hamas military training camp near their home”, Palestine Medical sources told Al-Jazeera on Sunday, October 11.
It comes as tensions between Israelis and Palestinians continue to escalate.
The conflict began in September, with clashes at an East Jerusalem site that is holy to Jews and Muslims.
The United Nations official also warned about the rising number of the Palestinians injured by live ammunition, rubber bullets and tear gas.

These pundits said that young people had taken the initiative, because the main Palestinian factions were refusing to act against Israeli abuses.
