Low Effort DIY Dreams! Upcycled Accessories To Bring Vintage Glamour To Your Home

The vintage look is growing ever popular, especially within the home! Achieving such a look in today’s economy can prove to be somewhat tricky – as if our purses aren’t weeping enough as it is – and who has enough time to sand down the dusty dresser in the garage?
However, here are some simple and thrifty ways of achieving that vintage home look I know you’re yearning for.
A Place To Rest Your Tush
A great vintage touch for your living space is a comfortable yet fashionable seat.
Whilst digging out a bottom-worn stool from the shed or buying one from an overpriced antique shop may be a nice touch; it’s going to lack a splash of personality – and is that not a key part of a glamorous living space?
With the classic bottom-worn stool, there are ways in which you can make it both more comfortable and more appealing.
In order to achieve a squidgy, woolly, cuddly soft top to your stool – simply rummage through your wardrobe until you find an old jumper you won’t miss. Then, go ahead and cover the top of the seat with it! Hey presto – you have yourself a beautifully vintage and homely stool.
A Touch Of Art
Can you afford to splash out on vintage paintings?
If not, this might be just the thing to give you the very same look. Simply select a background such as wood or canvas; drive pins or nails into your chosen surface in a pattern, and wind a coloured piece of string or thread around and between the pins.
While your design might not be as intricate as the image above, a simple heart or star can be beautifully effective and will look great on your wall.
A Splash Of Light
This is one of my favourite DIY vintage looks – and also happens to be the easiest.
All you need are some candles and clean jars. Be it jam, apothecary, or some other form of jar – placing a lit candle in one immediately creates a gentle, calm, and notably vintage look.
Where you put them is up to you, on a table during dinner, on your bedside dressers, they can even be hung in the garden over an evening BBQ!
A Spot Of Colour
Try a vibrant dotty tablecloth design which just screams vintage!
Whilst having the old fashioned counters and bold coloured fridge is a step in the right direction – your kitchen is not complete without your own personal touch.
You can choose from an extensive range of designs until you find one perfect for your kitchen; then simply pick the right size! Your very own oil cloth tablecloth to add some colour to your kitchen – your inner domestic goddess will be thrilled.
And there we have it! Just a few ideas to set you off on your journey to a beautifully vintage home!
