Derrick Rose: Making preseason debut Friday
“The rumor was first reported by Marc Cantave at Sportsblog, saying that with all the injury issues the Bulls had to deal with Rose for the past several years and his now alleged beef with a few of the team’s key players, it seems like Chicago is ready to give up on their franchise player”, Yibada wrote. Dallas will open the season at Phoenix on Wednesday. “I don’t want to jinx myself”. “Every day my eye is improving”.

Chicago jumped out to an early lead, thanks to a number of open looks, and went into the second quarter with a 32-28 lead. Rose had eight points in 10 minutes, all in the first half in accelerating the Bulls offense.
In short, the masked version of Rose looked just as athletic and fast as the unmasked one.
“Even when he was missing shots, the team kept on encouraging him, telling him to take a shot, because they were good shots”, Bulls guard Derrick Rose said. “I love the way Coach designed everything”.
“There are so many opportunities to drive, so many opportunities to shoot my midrange, even in transition”.
Doug McDermott headed to the courtside broadcast table, threw his arms in the air to acknowledge a cheering crowd, grabbed a headset and began a postgame interview, all while cameras clicked only feet away. Drawing loud cheers throughout because he starred at nearby Creighton University, he missed his first seven shots before sinking a 3-pointer.
“It’s about time I made one”, McDermott said. He played with a clear plastic mask Friday and did not get hit in the face.
Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said Rose’s playing time will be limited and that he won’t be in the starting lineup. The change came because Hoiberg wanted to keep him loose.
Rose’s first stint produced his most impressive moments. He shredded the Mavericks’ defense consistently, scoring on three drives to the rim. “Our pace was as good as it’s been all preseason when Derrick got in there and in turn the other guys were out there running with him”. “That’s what Derrick can do”. The reason? He was playing his first game in the Cornhusker state since he was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the 2014 National Basketball Association Draft. And now Rose is back. But the big thing is to get the process going in a game-type setting.
