Donald Trump may have lost his grip on Iowa, as the second poll in two days shows the billionaire Republican presidential candidate trailing Ben Carson in the state that kicks off the nominating process. The group announced Thursday it would shut down after the Trump campaign denied it ever gave the PAC its blessing.
“There’ll be ups and downs”, Carson said of the polls.
“After much thought I have made a decision to end my campaign for president today”, he said, before calling for the United States to stop getting involved in wars overseas, which had been a key message of his campaign. “I don’t want any money”. A third survey of likely Republican caucus-goers in Iowa conducted by the Believe Again PAC also found Carson leading Trump 28-20 percent.
