Chris Martin meets Kejriwal – Bilkul

The pair were also joined by composer Vishal Dadlani who, clearly excited to be on stage with Martin, posted a photo to show his followers. British rock band Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin, just appeared, as if out of nowhere (nobody even knew that he was in India!) and started performing in front of the pub hoppers in the bar! It wasn’t an event.

Now, we’re pretty sure that Chris Martin might be aware of the entire buzz he’s managed to create all over India with just an impromptu gig.

The show comes as it was revealed it’s all over for Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin.

Accompanied by Freida, he visited various slums in Delhi and met key government leaders to discuss sanitation projects in India.

According to the tweets of Vishal, it was more of a jam than a gig because it was impromptu.

The singer was in the city with actress Frieda Pinto, supporting the Global Poverty Project. Twitter handles of Vishal Dadlani and the AIB comedians tweeted pictures and videos. I utilised those 10-15 minutes to have the stage set and call in extra bouncers for Chris’ security. But as Mr Kapil puts it, “If Chris Martin had wanted to play on top of the Qutab Minar, they would have made it happen”. Surely nobody could be more bereft than Anchit Kapil himself, who missed the spur-of-the-moment concert by an hour or so – by 11.15pm, he was home in Gurgaon. “Martin sang Viva La Vida, Yellow, Fix You, Paradise and mesmerised all of us”, said Kapil.

This is such a massive burn to all the Coldplay fans who weren’t at the Summerhouse Cafe in Delhi last night!

AIB shared a picture with Martin and Dadlani on their official Facebook page with the caption: “Hello Coldplay fans”.
