In a statement the force said: “At around 6pm on Saturday 24 October a number of protesters arrived at St Pancras rail station and officers worked to facilitate a peaceful protest”.

“A woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting two police officers and a man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence”.
A few 100 activists supporting refugees’ rights threw smoke bombs at police lines near the London station of Eurostar, a high-speed railway connecting the British capital with Brussels and Paris, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
The scuffles took place as a group of No Borders campaigners partook in a protest calling for an end to immigration controls.
The activists also tried to pour red liquid on the floor of the station in memory of migrants who have died trying to use the Channel Tunnel to enter Britain.
It is unknown at this stage if any arrests have been made.
Once inside the station, a few of the demonstrators held up a banner saying “Close down Yarl’s Wood & all detention centres”.
A number of clashes broke out between police and protestors at the Eurostar station as smoke bombs were let off.
“This group was dispersed and officers remain at the station”.
Southeastern Trains warned passengers to allow extra time for their journeys after fears the chaos could trigger major delays.

The demonstration comes just a week after another protest by 250 people in support of migrants at the London Eurostar terminus.
