Messi, who is now out of action for four weeks, said that the rivalry between him and Ronaldo has stemmed from the fans and the media, and he personally has never thought about Ronaldo as his competitor. The Argentine is frustrated about his injury, but believes it is best for him to concentrate on recovering. “It doesn’t mean Messi would go for sure but he is listening”, he tweeted.

“He said I live by the moment and my moment now is Barcelona, he’s been there a long time”, Balague explained.

“It’s his life, he’s got it all set up there”.

Mirror gives the details on the case: “The 28-year-old and his father Jorge are facing trial over an alleged £3.1m tax fraud”.

According to Spanish journalist, Guillem Balague, the Argentina captain is more open to playing in England, than he was two or three years ago. It has be a project to win, perhaps with a manager that he would be comfortable with.

“It’s a few things that make the proposition attractive, but doesn’t mean he is going to go”, Balague added.

Messi has been with Barcelona since 2001 and has previously said he wants to retire with the Catalan club.

Even in the interview with Balague on Yahoo Sports, he said, “I don’t want to look too far ahead”. The Sun report Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have all made informal approaches to Messi’s representatives this week – with one club making contact twice this week.
