Adrian Peterson expected to play despite reported illness

“My wife is thinking about getting her team on FanDuel and playing a little bit”, Peterson said Wednesday in a conference call with reporters covering the Lions.

“Teams are going to give us different looks because we have the best running back in the league”, said guard Brandon Fusco. I think that a lot of folks expected the Vikings to make a leap this season and contend for a playoff berth, and I don’t think the expectations have changed a great deal since then. Through 2.5 quarters, Peterson had 86 yards rushing, including one 75-yard run that almost resulted in a touchdown. His wife had given birth to their son just hours earlier. His illness? Peterson swallowed his dip and barfed a bunch.

Johnson has had big games against Minnesota, most notably catching 12 passes for 207 yards at the Metrodome in 2012.

Detroit (1-5) finally tasted victory last week, 37-34 in overtime against Chicago after averaging 16.6 points through its first five games. Jay Cutler’s offense scored 18 points on second half turnovers in game that belonged to the Quarterbacks.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Peterson will be good to go at Detroit. The Titans haven’t won a game since their Week 1 throttling of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and they are facing a tall task again this week with the Falcons in town.

However a source close to Peterson told KSTP’s Darren Wolfson the running back is expecting to play.

And after being inactive for the first three games, fifth-round wide receiver Stefon Diggs followed up his six-catch, 87-yards debut with seven receptions for 129 yards to help the Vikings get back to over. Putting them in a ideal position to set up for Matt Prater to kick a field goal and win the game. Here’s something that should be no surprise: He’ll play on Sunday.

This is a key for any team that faces the Vikings.
