Facebook fixes iPhone battery drain issue
The government’s new strategy to try and compel Apple into cooperating is by arguing that Apple – not the defendant – is the owner of the software on the phone, thus Apple has no legal obligation to protect its contents. An innovation in iOS 9.1 is that Apple smartphones can now detect when images are moving, ensuring that this particular portion of the video is not recorded. This is because of the advantage that Google provides its users with more flexibility and compatibility than what is being offered by Apple. The design is not very different from the iPhone 6, though Apple claims to have used better material and aircraft grade aluminum.

Grant concludes the post as per Fortune, apologizing for the nuisances the bugs has caused, adding that the Facebook team is committed to continue developing the battery usage of the Facebook app and encouraging iOS users to see for themselves the improvements in the latest update. At the time, the company specifically said the move happened “so it’s not technically feasible for us to respond to government warrants for the extraction of this data from devices in their possession running iOS 8”. There is a method for you to view what apps are exhausting your battery.
Grant also admitted to mismanaging audio sessions, which is the second identified key issue.
Facebook has just come up with an update that can enhance the battery life of your iPhone. Galligan said that the Facebook app on his iPhone 6s was still running in the background, even after turning off the background refresh function supposed to shut down most functions. He likened the bug to a child in a vehicle incessantly asking, “Are we there yet?”
“To be fair, it’s hard to imagine that a company as massive as Facebook, with an application that’s got probably the highest install rate on iPhone of any app not shipped on the device, would be so mind-numbingly stupid as to overlook such a prevalent battery-draining issue as this for so long”, noted one commenter on Hacker News.
The latest mobile operating system features a new “battery” setting that tracks how much power apps are using. “Battery drain should be a priority, not an afterthought”.
The exact cause of the battery drain had remained a mystery, though iOS developer Jonathan Zdziarski believed that Facebook’s user location tracking feature could be partly responsible for the battery drain. Are we there yet?
Grant isolated two causes of the battery drain. Are we there yet?”in spite of the question not resulting to arriving at the destination”.

Previously, if you watched a video on the app and switched to another app to do something else, the audio component of the video sometimes continued to run.
