YouTube Red is slated to be a paid subscription service featuring all-in-one-ad-free viewing and listening. To add icing to the cake, anyone that subscribes to YouTube Red will gain access to Google Play Music (and vice versa).

The company announced Wednesday that it’s launching a subscription service, YouTube Red, which launches on October. 28.

A member of the new platform will also be able to access other YouTube apps, including YouTube Gaming and YouTube Music, which will also be launched in the near future. YouTube Music is created to help discover music on the video portal, offering suggestions based on previous listens.

YouTube Red launches in the USA on October 28, and will expand to other major markets over the course of the next year.

Still, it’s not clear whether people will actually want to pay for YouTube content. The site has been serving up free video for a decade. With a YouTube Red membership, you can watch as much YouTube videos as you want without interruption and even when you are offline. The service will be available in the Unites States later this month for $10 per month.

The announcement came as part of the YouTube Red reveal, when they spoke about the pricing structure.

YouTube will still offer all of its current services for free, so if you don’t want to spend any money, don’t worry!

YouTube Red as a premium ads-free video service is introduced with a slightly cheaper price than Netflix HD.
