Christie campaign pushes back on quiet vehicle report

Christie said into his phone, “this is frickin’ ridiculous” and “seriously?! seriously?!” according to Mann.

Moments later, Christie stood up and stormed off, “again yelling at his secret service”.

A Christie spokesperson confirmed the event and apologized on the governor’s behalf in a statement to The Huffington Post.

According to Spokeswoman Samantha Smith, Christie accidentally took a seat in in the quiet vehicle, but then left when he realized what he had done. She offered the governor’s apologies to all the passengers on the quiet auto who were offended by the fact that he was talking too loud.

Christie’s campaign denies the Gawker account, and told the Examiner he was not travelling with Secret Service agents. MSN also reminds their readers that no one, absolutely no one, is above the stead-fast rules of keeping quiet while in the quiet vehicle.

The New Jersey governor is kicked out of Amtrak’s “quiet car” for reportedly screaming on the phone.

Alexander Mann, who was on the 9:55 a.m. Amtrak train from DC to New York this morning, told Gawker about his experience with Christie.

To be exact, Christie was carrying a McDonald’s McCafe strawberry shake. It’s not uncommon for conductors to ask noisier passengers to change cars.

The conductor purportedly asked Christie, known for his bombastic manner, to either concluded the call or move to a talking-permissible vehicle. He served as New Jersey’s State Attorney General from 2002 to 2008. The desert smoothie he was drinking for breakfast, which may seem healthy for being made with reduced fat vanilla ice-cream, is actually a massive cup of morning sugar.
