Apple Inc. revealed that its smart Watch will be unveiled in India on November 6. But the company is adamant its 40-million-strong army of users won’t be disappointed. The company has officially confirmed the Apple Watch’s arrival through its site, though it hasn’t listed the prices for the gadget yet.

After Apple Watch’s release on April 24, 2015, the Apple Pay service can now be used without having to get your iPhone out of the pocket.
Since Tim Cook took the charge as CEO of the company, Apple Watch is the first new product category to be launched. Keeping in view of track-record of Apple as far as Indian pricings are concerned, the base model of this watch will be in the range of Rs. 30,000. “This is for all of you who have been saying since 2008 (Runkeeper’s birth year) that you’d love to track your runs but can’t imagine running with a phone”. Jacobs said the accuracy will depend on factors such as location (region), as well as environmental considerations such as clouds and buildings. “It is pretty accurate, and even more so if you pair with phone a few times on runs up front to calibrate”.
The newest version doesn’t require you to run with your iPhone.
The main problem with the watch is its limited battery life – running for up to 18 hours, the watch requires to be charged everyday.
Watching Apple’s progress in India has been intriguing, specifically because it’s such a different market to the U.S.
Runkeeper has been on the Apple app store since 2008.
Android Wear smartwatches do work with the iPhone, but the functionality is quite limited for obvious reasons.
There is no built-in Global Positioning System for the Apple Watch so there’s no way that the Runkeeper can show a map of your run on the activity summary. It’s likely that future editions of the Apple Watch will include Global Positioning System too, and that could be a game-changer.
