Minnesota Vikings Rumors: Stefon Diggs Replaces Charles Johnson as Starter

Going forward, there will be games that Teddy is asked to win, and he must play better in those games than he did today.

Assuredly, Bridgewater was trying to throw a good pass, but it worked out for him and the Vikings as not only did they get the touchdown, but Diggs got a catch of the year candidate out of it as well.

Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs is a little-known rookie fifth-round draft pick. “All I had to do was lay it out there, and he went and made the play”.

“I take my craft seriously”, Diggs said, via the Star Tribune. “He knows how to get open – and he knows how to catch the ball”. “He just has a lot of work to do”.

According to ESPN’s Ben Goessling, Johnson continues to be limited in practice which leaves Stefon Diggs to potentially make another start for the team. That doesn’t necessarily mean anything though, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer isn’t showing his hand. The Lions have already come to Minnesota and were sent home with their tails between their legs, but this is a whole new game and it will be in Detroit, so the Vikings can not overlook this team.

The Minnesota Vikings will be without DT Sharrif Floyd on Sunday as he deals with knee and ankle injuries. Even though Johnson has missed two games due to a rib injury, he hasn’t done much while on the field having only caught six passes for 46 yards. Minnesota, however, never looked back Sunday in a 28-19 win at Detroit.

Perhaps what’s most impressive from Diggs’ two National Football League games is the number of ways in which he’s been able to succeed.

“The big thing is that his short-area quickness is just ridiculous”, Locksley said. “And that’s the way he approaches it and he comes in here every day with a mindset he’s going to get better”.
