Lockdown lifted at North Carolina Central University after student injured in
North Carolina Central University was briefly placed on lockdown Sunday night after a student was shot and wounded.

WNCN reported that the street where the shooting took place runs between the university’s football stadium and a parking structure.
The university sent out a Tweet on Twitter warning students to shelter. Police are still actively seeking the shooter..
At 11:55 p.m., NCCU Police said that the lockdown was lifted.
One student was transported to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury in the shooting on campus around 11:00 p.m. ET.
Campus police said that the scene was all clear just before midnight. “Normal activities can resume”, the school’s tweet stated.
