YouTube Red will give ad-free videos, music & original content for $10/month

In addition to videos, YouTube Red members will also have access to the Google Play Music program which will provide them with ad-free songs on demand. For $10 a month, the service banishes ads, and allows you to save videos offline, and allows you to continue to listen to a YouTube video in the background on your phone.

In a blog post, Matt Leske, senior product manager at YouTube, described YouTube Music: YouTube Music is created to make discovering, watching and listening to music easier than ever.

Following in the footsteps of Netflix and Amazon Instant Video, YouTube Red also offers exclusive subscribers-only content from a few of its biggest names including CollegeHumor, Rooster Teeth and, unsurprisingly, Pewdiepie.

Google’s video-sharing service YouTube has revealed that it is launching its much-anticipated ad-free subscription plan in the US.

YouTube Music will also be ad free and give users a Pandora-like experience. As mentioned above, it is a paid service and one will need to pay $9.99 per month or Rs 650 approximately.

YouTube unveiled its new music app, “YouTube Music”, on Tuesday at an event in Los Angeles.

The .99-a-month subscription allows viewers to watch YouTube videos without adverts, combatting the need for third-party plugins such as Adblocker.

The service will launch in the United States first, with a one month trial on October 28.
