During practice Friday morning, forward Jaden Schwartz slipped and collided with a goal post during a drill.

Through seven games in 2015, Schwartz has a plus/minus of +4 and has accumulated four assists while serving on the team’s second line.
“Obviously he couldn’t finish practice, so that’s the first alarm bell that goes off”, coach Ken Hitchcock told the Blues’ official website. Hitchcock said Fabbri and Shattenkirk won’t play Saturday, but could return to the lineup on Tuesday vs. Tampa Bay.
“Original Blue”, Jimmy Roberts died on Friday at 75-years-old.
“He shot the puck and then the puck bounced off”, Elliott said.
The Blues are also missing the services of center Paul Stastny for four to six weeks with a broken foot and forward Patrik Berglund who is out until January after undergoing shoulder surgery.
“It was a pretty innocent thing”, Hitchcock said. “So we’ll see in the morning and see if it’s serious or not, but, you know, I’ve been in it a long time and I’ve never seen that in my life in a warmup drill, a guy goes down”. Backup Thomas Greiss is 2-0-1 with a 2.64 goals-against average in three starts this year, and has posted a 2.01 GAA in winning both starts in St. Louis.

RW Ty Rattie was in the St. Louis lineup after being recalled from Chicago of the AHL. “He’s on that cusp of being an National Hockey League player, and I don’t think he’s going to miss the opportunity to come up and play right now”.
